We would like to welcome you to our Blog and tell you a little bit about us…

Maree and I met almost 18 years ago in London.  We clicked immediately and from that moment on I knew I had found a kindred spirit.  Imagine our amazement when we realized that we not only came from the same country but lived virtually suburbs away from each other.

We are both lucky enough to call Brisbane (Queensland, Australia) home and like most of you we wear many hats- including Researchers, Mums, Wives, Sisters, Daughters, Chefs, Cleaners, Friends, Taxi Drivers, Committee Members etc., there never seems to be enough hours in one day, does there?

However because we are so driven we felt it was the right time to start a blog as a spin off to our already successful A-gender website to focus fully on all the areas we are passionate about, such as Fertility, Conception, Pregnancy and Gender.  When it comes to things that really matter to us I think it is fair to say we can both border on obsessive at times- which can be a good thing if this energy is channeled into the right areas.

We both believe if something is worth doing it is worth doing well.

Over the years our individual life’s journeys have given us experience in a wide range of areas. Neither of  us has had an easy road when it came to having the family we always dreamed of and although it has not always been easy we have learnt so much along the way, our desire and drive is often fuelled by a hunger which is hard to describe to many, but we believe that everything we have gone through has been well worth the effort as it has given us both beautiful families!

Over the last 13 years between us we have shared the elation of holding that much longed for baby in our arms, the tragedy of miscarriage and utter devastation and indescribable pain of a still birth and funeral, serious life threatening health issues impeding the ability to gender sway, many failed and some successful I.V.F. cycles, the joy of conceiving after 40 years old, the stress and financial pressure infertility can add to a relationship, coping with the anxiety of a very premature birth and seeing this tiny little bundle of love blossom and grow - as well as countless other issues. Because of our own challenges and the type of people we are, we feel a lot of compassion and empathy for anyone who has experienced any difficulties trying to have the family they dream of.

We are both truly blessed to be in a position of having healthy, happy children and are grateful every day for the joy they bring into our lives. We never take this for granted. We truly mean what we say- ‘Every baby is a blessing’ – they are each little miracles in their own right, so different, so precious and so special.

Trying to conceive and experiencing a pregnancy is an amazing time in any woman’s life. Your fertile years are limited so treasure them and enjoy them as much as you can. However not everybody is lucky enough to have trouble-free pregnancies and for some of you pregnancy can be a very stressful time but we hope the community here can help carry you through with the support and friendship of others who genuinely do care.

Due to our many years of obsessive research we have acquired a huge body of knowledge about both fertility issues and how to increase the chance of conceiving the gender you hope for. We want to share that knowledge with you through this Blog, our Forum and our Website and hopefully we can all enjoy each others company along the way?

We want you to feel at home with us and our community, where you can bare your soul without judgment and feel totally at ease. A place you will look forward to telling your friends about and visiting time and time again…
